어머니

당신은 나에게

마음의 고향입니다

내가 상처 받고

힘들어 쓰러질 것 같은

고통의 늪을 산책할 때에도

당신 품을 찾습니다

어머니 

당신께 못 다한

타는 내 가슴은 타고 또 타고

숯이 변하여 재가 됩니다

어머니

죄의 삶을 잘라버리기 위해

곱게 길렀던 위선의 머리털을

잘라버렸습니다 

그것도 부족하여

아침 저녁으로 면도질 하고

또 면도질 하여

죄의 뿌리까지 캐어 냅니다

어머니

두려움에 떨던 가슴은

날카로운 칼날 앞에 담대하게 서서

미사여구를 잃었습니다

내 마음은 바다처럼 잔잔해 졌고

호수처럼 평안하여 졌습니다

이제 나 여기 무인도의 바위 위에 서서

평화의 노래를 당신께 바칩니다.

When my mind was wounded

and take a walk in trial swamp

missing thy bosom

My burning mind with shortage for thee

is burning and burning

Charcoal is burnt to ashes

In other to cut out sinful life

had my hypocritical hair

which is beautiful

As those are shortage

Every morning and evening

Have my head shaved and shaved

Even if roots of sins have shaved

Heart with fear

grandly standing in front of edge of knife

My mouth lost beautiful words

As like a sea

My mind was become calm

As like a lake

My mind was become peaceful

Hear, standing on the rock of

Uninhabited island

Offering song of peace to thee.
